Nurturing Mindful Communities
Our Nurturing Mindful Communities Project is about how we can inspire others, weaving mindfulness into all aspects of life to share the benefits as widely as possible.
We think the strongest and most effective way we can introduce people and communities to what mindfulness can offer them is to show how it works in an environment like their own and how it has benefited people and groups like them.
By co-creating with organisations already working in communities across Wales we can share mindfulness to help people of all ages and abilities. Its effect is multiplied when it’s used in communities, workplaces, education, social care, cultural, third sector and health settings etc as part of daily life.
This is how we want to work towards achieving our vision of sharing mindfulness to help Wales become a more compassionate, kinder, fairer and more sustainable society.

We hope that this resource of stories from Wales but also from the wider world, reflecting our sense of an outward looking Wales, will grow and develop, offering inspiration to anyone interested in how mindfulness might enhance their lives.
We’ve also included a section on Research to reflect to growing body of evidence on the impact of mindfulness.
Collecting these Inspirations is an ongoing and integral part of Nurturing Mindful Communities, sharing examples of mindfulness already happening in Wales and the wider world. We’ll be adding to our collection as we find new Inspirations and look forward to hearing your examples.
We’re really grateful to all contributors to the Inspirations you can real about here. Please note that the information comes from the providers themselves to be shared by Mindfulness Wales. Mindfulness Wales does not endorse or assume any responsibility for the accuracy of description or quality of the provision.
You can use the search function to look for examples of formal mindfulness, informal mindfulness, mindfulness-based activities, or you can search by sector or location, or intended participants such as nature, third sector, public sector, community, young people.
