Juliet Firstbrook discovered meditation as a class teacher and taught mindfulness and meditation to children from 4-14. She went on to train to teach mindfulness to adults and has continued to develop resources. Juliet says:
“I create Personalised Meditations for people who are struggling with stress, anxiety, grief, or depression. These are bespoke, audio recordings written specifically for individual clients, to listen to when they need to feel calm and stronger. My book, Mindfulness, is a collection of guided meditations and visualisations based on nature, to calm the busy young minds of children when they are feeling anxious. The book also includes worksheets and colouring to keep them present. I created my Mindfulness Tins, which contain forty cards with photographs and a mindful sentence on them, to enable children to improve their focus and communication. Through guided practices, encouraging mindful communication and teaching daily mindfulness techniques, I try to help people cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness and emotional regulation. It is my hope that this personal transformation extends outward, creating a ripple effect that enhances the overall well-being of the community. I hope to do more work within my own local community here in Wales, although my free time is somewhat limited.”
