Our morning sessions provides a space for connection, company, a variety of mindfulness meditation practices and mutual support. The team of trained mindfulness teachers offers sessions from Tuesday to Friday each week from 10-11am and with their different backgrounds and experiences you can be sure of a range of provision. You can find out more about the team here.

Our sessions started right at the beginning of the first lockdown, when our aim was to offer what we could in the way of support in those challenging times. Initially we anticipated running for a few weeks or months in that period of crisis but for the team and for some of the participants who have been coming since the beginning, it’s become a regular feature of our lives.
The team has changed and evolved over the years as new people come on board, and participants drop in and out over time as their lives permit. It’s truly a drop in so you can come on any day, and attend whenever it suits you. Each day is slightly different as we all have our own styles but there will always be a meditation practice and an opportunity for some discussion – including the chance for a bit of a chat. We value the connection these sessions provide through our joint practice and often some more light-hearted exchange.
In March 2023 we even held an in-person retreat – a great opportunity for some of us to see each other in real life. We look forward to arranging another in due course.

“I’m so grateful for these online “drop -in” sessions provided by Mindfulness Wales since the start of the pandemic. They have helped me develop a more positive and reflective outlook on life. I truly believe this has prevented a recurrence of episodes of somatic anxiety/depression which I had experienced previously —— and I now possess an extensive “toolkit” to use if I do get a recurrence in the future!
The sessions are led by a team of insightful and caring teachers, who nurture us participants. Newcomers are always given a warm welcome.”
“Having seen the beneficial effect that Mindfulness had on my sister-in-law and how it helped her find a solution to some of her personal and career issues, I started Mindfulness in 2016 undertaking a course with local teachers from Mindfulness-West, which involved both individual tuition and group sessions.
I felt the need for this as I was having anxiety and stress issues and was been treated for this by my GP.
In 2019 following a battle with my GP, I was finally diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Looking back this was the cause of my underlying anxiety and other health issues.
During Covid, my local Mindfulness teacher from Mindfulness-west forwarded details of an online Mindfulness group which was being set up to help people continue to practice Mindfulness during the pandemic.
This was a tremendous support for me during Covid, especially bearing in mind that this was the early days following my diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
Luckily the group has continued post pandemic and has developed to become a friendly and supportive environment with many of the members having been there since the group was formed in the early days of Covid.”
